REPORTER SEEKING INTERVIEWEES: Canadian newcomers to Florida

Hi, I'm an entry-level reporter working on a human interest piece for my portfolio, and I'm looking to interview Canadian newcomers to Florida. The aim of my piece is to explore the specific motives and outlooks of Canadians who relocated to Florida between 2020-2022, in response to negative effects experienced under covid public health measures in Canada. Ideally, I'm looking for interviewees to talk to & spend a few hours with, photograph and potentially film a few brief clips of (in their home or other agreed upon location). Our interaction will center around your experiences under Trudeau's lockdowns and your journey to Florida. As it is for sample purposes only, there is no compensation for interviewees participating in this project. The final article may be posted on a blog or shared on social media, but I won't be pitching it to any newspapers or media organizations. If you're interested and want to talk more, please e-mail me.
