We are looking for a motivated, career-oriented person dedicated to a higher standard of tree care Duties for the Crew Leader include the following: • Lead the crew in a clear, direct, and positive manner. • Communicate well with management, clients, and crew members so that jobs are completed on time and completely. • Call customers when unable to make it to the job. • Communicate with the Production Manager if running ahead or behind on schedule. • Communicate with Project Supervisors for clarity on jobs. • Orchestrate job set up and take down including delegating job responsibilities and overseeing equipment set up. • Go over work order with Supervisor and be able to complete in a safe and efficient manner. • First of day, collect work orders and review with Operations Manager. • Communicate any specialty equipment needs to Assistant Leader & crew. • Oversight of all crew members, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the job site. • Enforce PPE, shared responsibility with Assistant Leader. Leadership Skills and Qualifications: • ISA Certified Tree Worker or in progress, and be Certified in safety, first aid and CPR. • Strong climbing abilities - proficiency in basic techniques, familiarity with progressive techniques, and interest in ongoing developments. • Experience in proper tree pruning according to Ansi A300 Tree Pruning Standards • Experience in removing challenging trees using technical rigging techniques, cranes and aerial lifts, with minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry. • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. • Texas Driver’s license with Class A or B driver’s license or the ability to obtain one in a timely manner. • Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, crew members and management. • Reliable, accountable, honest, have a good attitude, and trustworthy. • Team player – able to work well with others and do what it takes to accomplish daily goals together. • Strong organization, logistical, ship, and communication skills. • The ability to keep a cool head during stressful situations. • Willing to work 40-50 hours per week in adverse weather conditions.
