Description: New Made LA believes that mid-century design should be affordable and accessible to everyone. Over the last several years the market for mid-century goods has sky rocketed, driving prices to levels far beyond the reach of most of us. NewMade LA is our attempt to provide great design at an affordable price. Vintage inspired. Made in Los Angeles. We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning the inner workings of a product design company. Someone who is physically and mechanically inclined-- a motivated, design-lover who is good with their hands, and is positive, willing, and eager!
Includes: Fabrication, welding, design rendering, product assembly, as well as packing/shipping/organizing production. Clear communication with staff for smooth daily flow, ensure processes to increase efficiency and minimize mistakes.
Requirements: Past experience in a studio environment is a strong plus. Fabrication, welding, basic shop awareness and skills are desired. Appreciation for mid-century modern design, personable, hard-working, willing to get their hands dirty-- a self-starter who is able to work independently and create their own deadlines, good communication skills, attention to detail, fast-learner.
