Hi my name is Skipper, but they call me Skippy or Skip for short. I'm a year and half old mountain cur (aussie x boxer) from Kentucky! My family rescued me from the roadside, and I've loved living free in the mountains of Tennessee this last year... Now my family have moved to town to a house where bigger dogs like me aren't really allowed. I'm looking for a new a home and family to live out the next chapter of my life... ...I'm smart, and agile, and like to play. I'm a good boy, and play well with little dogs and am gentle with children too. I am quite rambunctious but walk well on leash with a gentle leader halter, my favorite though is long walks and runs and playing at the dog park in Blacksburg... I even play well with older shyer dogs like Rose. I do have urges to chase squirrels, and haven't learned the differences between them and cats yet.. but I'm smart and could learn. I'm upto date on my shots, and though I'm not fixed yet - my family will have me fixed before I get to be your dog if that matters to you. Ideally my new home will be in the BB area so I can still see my family and little dog friends, but really I need a home I'm allowed into - as car camping in the driveway is reallly boring, and I'd like an owner who will take me for long walks/runs, to play in the park, and maybe even give me a job like agility or search and rescue, or teach me to hunt... Please give my pack master a call, I'd love to meet you and sniff your hand... Skipper PS - they won't let me go with just anyone, and will want to check you're good like me and will be good to me, including a rehoming fee.
