Seeking Lead-Based Paint Inspectors to direct, coordinate, and perform Lead-based paint inspections. Responsibilities include: • Perform LBP inspections utilizing X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) technologies in public housing units within the five boroughs of NYC and New Jersey. • Collect lead-based paint chip samples for independent laboratory analysis • Utilize mobile hand-held technologies to capture field data/information/photographs • Maintain daily logs of activities related to project work • Interact and communicate with clients, contractors and regulatory agency representatives • Produce clear and organized reports • Travel throughout New York City and New Jersey expected • Prior experience in various aspects of LBP inspections is required • Work as a team player • Collect samples as required by various regulatory agencies, complete data sheets, chain of custody forms, and prepare samples for shipment to laboratory • Operate and maintain instruments Required Qualifications: • Must possess an EPA Lead -Based Paint Inspector Certification or be willing to take courses required to become certified and pass the EPA Lead -Based Paint Inspector Exam (Course & Exam Fees will be paid by our company for the right candidates) • Attention to detail. Be able to identify and correct errors, spot and improve weaknesses and produce a near-perfect end-result • General understanding of various building components • Experience with note taking, observation of contractor work, field documentation • Familiarity with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.) • Must have very good field note taking skills and legible hand writing, as well as good verbal communication • Ability to work on teams as well as independently with minimal direct supervision. Additional Information: • Must be willing to travel, including possible overnight trips • Weekend availability on occasion Background/Drug Screen Statement Our company requires all employees successfully pass a drug test as a condition of employment.
