Chase has been at the shelter way too long and is starting to show signs of kennel stress. He desperately needs a forever or foster home. I brought Chase home a couple of days and this is what I observed while he was here:
* After a couple of hours he was much much calmer. Out of the shelter environment he is a different dog.
* Loved playing with the other large dogs and even tolerated the pushy dog.
* Loved running in the yard
* Has a convincing warning bark when strangers pull in the driveway
* Was able to sleep loose in the house without a problem
* No accidents - used the doggy door
* Very affectionate and loved attention
* Will sit and shake for a treat
* he did not want to get into the car but once in the car he rode perfectly fine.
* Slow to warm up to strangers
This loving and loyal boy would love a home with a large yard and another big dog to play with. NO CATS. He would probably do best in a home where there are not a lot of people in and out.
His adoption fee is sponsored. He is neutered and microchipped.
Can you help this boy? If you cannot adopt or foster consider being a volunteer and take him for long walks.
You can call or go to the Joplin Humane
for more information.
