It is a fully supervised, clean and safe environment. Camp Run-A-Mutt™ Point Loma features over 11,900 square feet of indoor and outdoor play area for dogs to romp and exercise to their heart's content! Parents can watch their campers online as the dogs run and play in the spacious grassy area, cool off in the custom waterfall/splash pond, or under the cooling misters on a hot day. We also offer dog wash, grooming, boutique, and obedience training. It's not just the amenities that make us unique. Camp Run-A-Mutt™ is also 100% cage-free for both daycare and overnight boarding. Dogs receive exceptional care by our well-trained, and attentive staff. Overnight Campers enjoy the extra comfort of a caring human in the same room while they snooze at night. Our goal is to ensure the safety of the dogs in our care while minimizing the stress and anxiety some dogs experience when away from home and their owners. What we're looking for: People who are dog passionate and hard working. While playing and cuddling with the dogs is part of the job, there is also a lot of hard work that goes into making this environment safe and fun. We are currently looking for a candidate with ample customer service experience, as well as experience with animals. Open Positions: Yard Attendant (Full-time and Part-Time positions available) Minimum requirements: • Must be available weekends and holidays • Experience working with multiple dogs at one time • Ability to positively interact with all sizes and breeds of dogs (Camp Run-A-Mutt does NOT breed discriminate) • Ability to stand, walk, bend and crouch for extended periods of time • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Reliable means of transportation • Reliable means of communication, such as a cell phone • 18 years of age or older Expectations: • Maintain a strict observation of the dogs at all times • Correct unwanted behavior by voice commands, and pack-leader presence • Employees agree to communicate with coworkers as a team while in the yard • Maintain cleaning duties such as laundry, mopping, washing dog bowls, and sanitizing all dog-play areas • Maintain a sanitary yard by immediately picking up all waste and spot cleaning • Learn all dogs names • Treat all dogs equally and like your own • Communicate with the Yard Manager and Front Desk Manager • No texting or cell phone use in the yard • Assist in dog feedings for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner • Assist in administering medications for dogs If you think you might be a match, please submit your resume and salary requirements and references.
