Job Description Site Surveyors take accurate measurements inside and out of the customer's properties. Taking pictures of necessary electrical panels, meters, documents, obstructions, shading, and property. Qualifications 2 years experience in site surveying and troubleshooting Ability to plan and organize efficiently (Organizational skills are a must) Able to use most modern computer software, with basic computer skills including the ability to copy files and communicate via email Comfortable with ladders with the ability to make multiple trips up and down a ladder Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, and climb 2 stories, as well as lift 50lbs (Not scared of heights) Must have good communication and customer service skills Valid CA Driver’s license, and reliable transportation to travel 3 to 4 hours one way Ability to plan and organize efficiently Permitting experience Responsibilities Be able to effectively communicate with customers during the Site survey and/or on the phone and with the operations team Surveyors must be comfortable with heights, there are situations where you will need to get on the roof to grab measurements Create detailed rooftop map layouts, as well as land layouts for solar arrays, including roof layout dimensions and all roof obstructions (pipes, vents, etc.) For ground Mounts be able to identify (leach lines, water lines, generators, propane tanks, etc.) Take pictures of electrical panel, meters, roof surfaces shading analysis, and other general property info Communicate with customers on arrival time (Punctuality is a must) Upload all documentation through our website Check stability of roof to ensure a safe solar installation Adhere to all safety requirements and regulations These were things that stood out to me while I was reading the other post from other companies that are looking for site survey techs as well
