Luca was seen being pushed out of a moving vehicle along with his sister, Lilly. He was scared and malnourished and clearly abused by his captors. Timid at first, it took Luca some time to decompress and open up. He has a very calm/easy going demeanor, and is submissive to his handlers. He exhibits no resource guarding of food or toys, and is eager to please his chosen human. Luca is still reserved when meeting new people, and will need time to forget his past and adapt to his new loving family. But once he does, he will love you unconditionally until the end of time! He is a big fan of snuggles, walking the beach and playing in the sand! All he wants is a chance at a happy life with a family of his own! Luca is a pit bull mix, around 3 years old and weighs approximately 80lb. He comes neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on monthly preventatives. He does great with all people, be they small or tiny, adult or child, friend or stranger; but is selective about his animal friends. Luca does get along very well with his 4-legged sister, Lilly. We do believe he can be trained, with time/patients/treats to live happily with other big dogs in the home. Luca is house trained, rides well in a car, walks well on a leash and is learning some basic commands such as Sit and No. He does NOT dig up your yard, does NOT chew your stuff, NOR excessively bark; but he does chase small dogs, cats and prey animals. A home without small animals would be best for this guy! Home checks are required. Please do not contact if you are not willing to allow a home visit. Rehoming fee applies.
