Come join our workshop for those who are new to Cued American English! Over 2 days you will learn the entire Cued Speech system (8 handshapes and 4 placements) and its application with American English. By the end of the class you will have the knowledge needed to cue anything in American English in a visually accessible mode. This class is recommended for parents with deaf kids who want to get started cueing, professionals who work with Deaf/HH people, ASL interpreters who want to learn a new skill, and anyone else who wants to learn a new mode of communication. Days/Dates: Saturday & Sunday, Oct 22-23 (2 day class) Times: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm The class fee includes complimentary food if you also attend our nighttime “Cues on Tap” social event after class on Saturday October 22nd, at Rivalries in downtown Portland (6 pm till). Join us and meet deaf cuers, parents, and professionals who cue!
