Samhain, the witches new year. Folk tales, songs and stories. The Scottish Gaelic roots and history of Samhain date back to before written literature. A time marked by great gatherings and feasts, the veil between this world and the Underworld is thinned. As we enter the dark part of the year, we will learn how celebrate it in big and small ways. What to expect: In this class we will discuss the roots and history of this sabbat, learning where some of our modern day Halloween traditions come from. As well as the old world ways of celebrating and honoring the traditions.
