Charities worry that a prospective donor’s advisor may shut the door on legacy gift conversations. Conversely, advisors are unsure how to embark on a legacy conversation with their clients. In reality, both have a common goal: help the donor realize their dreams by harnessing their motivations and aspirations for a better future. In this session, we’ll explore the science behind decision making and how advisors can easily and successfully nudge donors to include a gift in their will. We’ll also discuss how fundraisers and advisors can work together effectively to understand their respective professional concerns and their role in protecting their client’s/donor’s interests.
