The CaD studio is a collaboration between the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson River Estuary Program and the Cornell Landscape Architecture professor Josh Cerra. Throughout the fall 2022 semester, this graduate-level class is investigating challenges and opportunities on the Tarrytown waterfront. Students work with community stakeholders, non-profit partners, and technical experts in an interdisciplinary process of waterfront design. Student designers create waterfront visions that strive to meet the present and future needs of the community for public access, economic development, ecological health and climate resilience.
The meeting on October 19th is a workshop in which students share preliminary design ideas with small groups of stakeholders, who then provide feedback and information that will further influence the work. You are being invited to this workshop because you have a unique perspective on the Tarrytown waterfront that is very valuable to the students and their design process. We hope you are able to attend. The Tarrytown Senior Center is located at located at 238 West Main Street in Pierson Park. We hope to hold the workshop outdoors in the riverfront pavilion to allow for maximum COVID-19 precautions. If weather conditions are cold or inclement, we will hold the meeting inside at the senior center. Please RSVP by Wednesday, October 12 to let us know if you will be attending.
