Mothers Of Immunity (MOI) is honored to present this event for the youth to be able to express their creativity in a safe space at the one and only Thinker Makers Society (TMS). Thinker Makers Society (TMS) is a black owned art gallery + co working space in Old City Philadelphia (320 Race St) About Event... The objectives for this event are to use art as therapy for the youth of Philadelphia, give parents an opportunity to relax while their child/children learn and create, and last but not least allow the children to engage in an activity that is possibly new to them; inspiring new possibilities for their future. We encourage parents to stay on the premises during the event. All supplies will be provided including smoothies and snacks. Parents get free refreshments as well. Each child will leaves with a gift bag along with their painting. For those who don't have children or children in the age range but want to support you have the option to sponsor a child by purchasing a ticket on their behalf About The Art Instructor... Tai Corrienté Baucom is a colorful figurative illustrator, designer and muralist with influence from her roots and generations of family stories. She attended Moore College of Art in Design, where she received her BFA in Illustration with honors. Elaborate textiles and patterns, fashion, and nostalgic photography inspire her most. She aspires to highlight vintage glamour, with a hint of spirituality, mysticism, and mythology in her work. Every brush stroke is done with thought, intent, purpose, and love. Tai began her career as a teacher, working with students aged 5-18, in 2020. She currently works as a teaching artist with Mural Arts Philadelphia. About The Brand Mothers Of Immunity... Mothers Of Immunity (MOI) is not only an apothecary but is also a multilayered company that provides content and safe spaces for men, women, and children to heal and expand their awareness through art, media, events, and merchandise. MOI was founded in 2017 by Rayna Weddington, a Philadelphia native who is a birth worker, mother, teacher, student, curator, creator and so much more.
