Anyone with a 2000-2004 Outback subaru

Hello Car problems... My 2002 outback broke down on the bay bridge. Caltrans helpfully pushed me to soma.I've got both the Manuel and the Haynes book. There is a wire bolted(grounded) to the back of the engine compartment that is unattached,and I'm unable to locate what it goes to if you could possibly take a pic for me.i would be forever grateful.
