Description
Guided by Amanda Kenyon of Landkind Guide, immerse yourself in the peaceful beauty of the orchards and forest at Scott Farm. With an approach rooted in shinrin-yoku (literally translated as “forest bathing”), you will be offered guided prompts, or “invitations”, that tap into all your senses. Not just your 5 senses, but also your intuition, imagination, and more. You will experience a combination of sitting, walking, and meandering over about a half mile of easy to moderate terrain. The guided invitations encourage mindfulness and range from contemplative to playful interaction with nature. It all begins with a sensory-awakening meditation to get grounded and connect with your world in new ways. This immersive experience is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to quiet your mind, relax your body, let your curiosity wander, and be inspired by nature. Forest bathing is an established practice in Japan that has grown in popularity in the U.S. since 2012. Come discover for yourself this meaningful and memorable experience. Registration includes tea and apple samples for all participants. You are welcome to stay on the grounds after the event concludes. Enjoy the amazing stone walls and sculpture by The Stone Trust, historic buildings, hiking, and treats from the Scott Farm Orchard Farm Store. Space is limited to keep group size small and advance registration is required to reserve your spot. This event is offered by Amanda Kenyon with Landkind Guide.
