On Saturday, October 22 from 12 PM to 3 PM, join Liberian sisters Perrine DeShield, Dr. Anbec DeShield-Mayes and local trendsetters as they host a luxe, pre-loved pop-up shop at BlkMrkt CLT in Camp North End. This pop-up shop was named after the Liberian term, “lapa,” which is a large piece of African fabric that women repurpose as a wrap or skirt. The Liberian sisters were inspired by this concept and their culture and created this pre-loved pop-up shop to showcase designer clothing and accessories from their closets to inspire others to “take what you have and reimagine it.”
The DeShield sisters will feature gently used and brand-new clothing as well as accessories from local fashion insiders of diverse sizes and styles, creating a size-inclusive experience for shoppers.
Tables and clothing racks will be sorted by each re-seller and labeled by type of clothing and size and labeled from small and petite to plus size.
Attendees will enjoy musical sounds by DJ Dammit Wesley, a $2 mimosa bar, raffles and more.
Not only will shoppers leave with new wardrobe pieces, but they will feel great knowing that they have reduced their carbon footprint with pre-loved items.
