Centennial operates a complete water and wastewater utility including surface-water reservoirs, treatment facilities, transmission, distribution, storage, and wastewater collection system. CWSD is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to join its Plant Maintenance Department. A successful candidate’s duties include performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks necessary to maintain equipment and structures used in the storage and processing of water and wastewater. Desired applicants will have experience with industrial / mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, piping, HVAC, forklifts, personnel lifts, and general knowledge of building maintenance. A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A Colorado Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record are also required. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to obtain a Colorado Commercial Class A Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement. Having any current Water, Wastewater, Collection, Distribution certifications is a plus. Rotating “on call” shifts are required for this position and applicants must be able to respond to emergency calls within approximately thirty (30) minutes of Highlands Ranch. Pre-employment screening, which includes background check, drug screen and motor vehicle record check will be performed for all candidates who are offered employment. Starting pay range is $23.08 - $27.71 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
