Singer songwriter and female vocalist looking for collaborator (ideally multi instrumentalist) to create original music. I have a wide of styles and tastes and influences, typically blending folk, blues, soul, jazz, R&b but open to creating with a wider range. If we performed, I am also happy to do creative covers based on mutual interest. More on my current music projects - I am finishing up a personal singer-songwriter album project that blended creative and unconventional song structures with varying genre influences. I sing in a wedding band style rock/funk band as the lead vocalist and we do crowd pleasing, danceable covers. When it comes to writing music, whether creating a catchy crowd pleaser or a song that pours out heart and soul, at the core I enjoy helping audiences get in touch with their feelings, their felt sense of soul through music. I want to find a collaborator with whom I have good resonance and creative partnership and who has similar creative goals. I would love to create and record (and perform, if and when desired) high quality, co-created pieces. I’m open to seeing how the original music project would evolve. We would likely start by playing around to find a groove and creative process, and then work towards a set of 8-10 pieces over a defined period of time. I’m great with lyrics, vocals/melody, ideation, and riffing/developing song structure. I’m a mediocre guitarist (desiring to developing this) and would love to work with someone who can play piano and guitar as a starting point. Fantastic if there is vocal capacity for harmonies.
