Stop by our museum anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 1st for a free, kid friendly art activity/craft (while supplies last) and discover some cool facts about an object made or used by someone in the past (archaeologists call these “artifacts”). You will even get a chance to touch a real one!
In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the artifact featured for this program will be the olive jar! The olive jar dates back to the time of the Spanish colonization of America. What were they used for, and why do archaeologists study them? Stop by to find out from an archaeologist!
