Tympanist needed for the Austin Philharmonic Orchestra, an all-volunteer community orchestra. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings alternating between Wells Branch and Violet Crown City Church, 1300 Morrow Street. Current works in rehearsal are Romeo and Juliet Overture by Tchaikovsky and Dvorak Symphony No. 9 "New World." Both have important tympani parts. The orchestra has tympani and can supply mallets.
