Big Block Chevy Looking For Guitar Or Bass Player

Description

"Big Block Chevy" rock band is currently looking for a guitar player or a bass player due our bass player leaving the band for non band related issues. We’ve been together over 6 years now and are comprised of older musicians who have all been performing professionally for many years (read decades :). We have two keyboards (piano and B3 Hammond organ), guitar (with vocals), female vocalist, acoustic guitar (with vocals) with bass and drums completing the group. Our current guitar player is also an accomplished bass player and is willing to switch to bass if a guitar player is available instead of a bass player hence the posting for either a guitar player or bass player. We do mainly classic rock but we try to be a cut above doing 1, 4, 5 blues and jam songs which is what you hear from most bar bands. We’ve been playing some club gigs but mainly casuals like wedding receptions, birthday parties, company parties, New Years parties, special occasions, etc. We insist on a highly polished and professional product when we perform which does take some time and effort to accomplish. We rehearse every other week and depend on our members to do their homework on their own time and at their convenience to be prepared. That makes the band a minimal drain on time only requiring a couple 2 hour rehearsals a month plus the time necessary to prepare your parts at home. I find that a lot of the problems with musicians doing music as a side endeavor is the time drain impacting work and family. Our way of preparing and rehearsing keeps that to a minimum. We try to not interfere with other interests and obligations yet we all have a desire to keep ourselves actively involved with music at a high level and performing well rehearsed material in public. I’m attaching our current song list so you can see what material we’re doing. Our primary focus is dance music since we’re billed as a dance band. We’re pretty much willing to do anything that has a good dance beat (and no one in the group has a giant aversion to - lol). The musicians in this group are capable of playing anything. If you’re interested in checking us out, use this link to access our dropbox (where we keep all our charts, MP3's, sets, etc.) and there are 6 recorded songs by us that you can listen to and get an idea of what we sound like and what we do: https://www.dropbox.com/home/BBC%20-%20Master%20File/BBC%20Recordings/Frostline%20Final%20Recordings%20(Demo)/Wav%20Files Here is our Facebook page which has many photos and stuff: https://www.facebook.com/BigBlockChevyBand57 We rehearse near the Alaska Zoo and have a rehearsal studio set up with drums, bass amp, guitar amp, PA, and keyboards so rehearsals are easy and uncomplicated (just bring your sticks, guitar, bass, etc.). Everything is in place to make it as easy and non time consuming as possible. We also use the dropbox accessible by everyone in the band to store the MP3’s, chord charts, and lyrics for every song we play making learning the material as effortless as possible by eliminating the need to research the components of any given song or having to figure out the chords and lyrics. This band is as easy as it gets. I assure you that this band is the real deal as far as competent, professional, and experienced musicians is concerned. There’s really nothing in our selected genre we can’t play and do a good rendition of so if you’re looking for something to keep your finger in the music pie and have a rewarding, satisfying musical experience yet not consume a lot of your valuable time – that describes us to a “T”. Please, only serious pro's. We intend to hit the ground running and be ready for the holiday season.
