Description
Hi,
I'm a Portland, OR Home Music Producer. Last summer I purchased an Ableton Push from eBay. This was supposed save a few bucks off retail (MISTAKE!), but by the time I realized it was a faulty chip and trace and not a software issue I tried return, but the seller was crazy slippery. I set up return and by the time I got a suitable package they got support to close it. So I not only couldn't return but couldn't even rate the terrible seller anymore, a pawn shop in California. So I have a hot-air rework station and thought I'd try and replace. It took awhile but eventually got the correct chips, only once I got into it I found the pads were corroded and replacing trace and pads on a TSSP size chip without a binocular microscope is outside my abilities.
So what I'm asking for is anyone that can refer me to that could repair two IC chips and pads that were damaged via corrosion from nearby screw. Anyone out there with skills in Ableton Push repair or double layer PCB board repair? Basically it will involve fixing 2 sets of pads and 2 IC chip. I got a pack of 10 so I have the IC chips, but not the skills to install and repair. I can absolutely pay for the work, but if it's getting beyond cost of the difference between selling broken for couple hundred dollar loss then obviously I'd simply do that. Any takers? Help finding someone?
