Loffredo Lumber is seeking a Sawmill Operator / Lumber Yard Worker who are ready to work! This position requires no prior experience and we can teach you woodworking skills on the job. Requirements: - Reliable transportation - Ability to work in all conditions, indoors or outdoors - Ability to stand, walk, and lift 45 lbs - Adherence to OSHA safety standards & guidelines Responsibilities: - Stacking lumber - Measuring and cutting wood with different kinds of saws - Reading measurements - Loading / unloading lumber - Feed and remove logs from sawmill - Perform pre-work safety checks on equipment and tools - Maintain equipment and tools in good condition, and fuel them - Attend safety and training meetings - Follow safety procedures and properly use equipment - Other general labor duties as needed Compensation & Additional Benefits: Employment type: Full-time Pay rate: $18.00 / hour 1 week paid time off after 6 months. After 1 year, 2 weeks of paid time off
