I don't know how much of a payment your agreement was with the owner but saying that they shorted you $400 when most dive bars wouldn't even pay that much so you're lucky with what you got, it sounds like she just wanted cheap entertainment for the night and that's why she didn't deal with you herself when they told you to quit playing.
