Job description We are seeking part-time / full-time QSP Inspectors to perform storm water compliance inspections at multiple sites in Southern California. · Perform SWPPP Compliance inspections (weekly minimum) and write inspection reports. · Preparation of Rain Event Action Plans (REAP), Pre-Rain Inspection Reports. · Perform onsite storm water testing of turbidity and pH during rain events · Build and maintain client relationships · Deliver periodic onsite training to contractors, e.g. BMPs (best management practices) · The position requires an inspector to safely navigate a construction site on foot in difficult terrain, while staying alert to jobsite hazards, such as heavy equipment, excavation, and demolition. (Walking up to a mile on certain sites). · Must be able to lift 25 pounds · The position requires inspectors to visit job sites during rainy weather for visual monitoring, as well as discharge sampling for pH and Turbidity. · Schedule and Route will vary, Part time / Full time, Monday through Friday, during regular construction site hours. · QSP certification (Current) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months · The ability to understand California stormwater regulations. Construction General Permit (Caltrans experience a bonus) · Construction site experience or background a plus · A reliable vehicle and clean driving record required · A reliable computer and printer with internet connection required · Good communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the effective communication of inspection results. · Construction and or Environmental field background · Must be conscientious, reliable and commit to meet weekly route requirements, as well as rain event related inspection requirements · Engineering Students welcome · Environmental Students welcome · Veterans welcome · Retirees welcome If you like flexibility, moderate oversight and a measure of independence, this position may be the right position for you!
