Warehouse Coordinator - Delivery Driver Greater Seattle Floors is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator - Delivery Driver. In this role your responsibilities will be to ensure all warehouse facilities are clean, organized, and inventory stocked. This role will assist with maintenance and general upkeep around the building as needed as well as ensuring all equipment is readily available, accessible, and maintained properly. As the Warehouse Coordinator - Delivery Driver a major part of your job will include the pickup/delivery of materials to and from jobsites. This position is labor intensive and requires heavy lifting. Successful individuals in this role will be able to work independently with little to no supervision following training. Greater Seattle Floors is a single source custom flooring contractor with a primary focus on residential, commercial, and athletic hardwood floors. Our product lineup also includes ceramic tile, natural stone, slab, carpet, marmoleum, vinyl, and laminate LVT. To apply please follow this link to our indeed posting: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties/projects may be assigned) Warehouse: Perform daily walk through of warehouse to ensure supplies for active jobs are readily available Keep all areas of the warehouse clean and organized – includes rooms off main warehouse and grounds next door Maintain inventory levels – knowledge of what needs to remain in stock, minimum quantities of each item, and order products when inventory is low Understand PO system and PO process – enter, follow up, and track PO’s Receive freight orders as they arrive and verify correct quantities/accuracy Rotate inventory when new orders arrive – first in, first out Stage materials on upcoming projects for GSF crew, subcontractors and/or vendor pickups Prepare vehicles/trailers/equipment for GSF crew as needed Building & Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure loading areas and parking lot are clean and organized – power wash at least once a month (or as needed) Maintain dumpster area – Sweep area clean, 2-4 times per week (or as needed) Remove and replace hazmat containers twice a month as scheduled Dispose of pallets and other miscellaneous shipping waste as needed Vehicle Maintenance – When company vehicles need service; schedule and attend appointments to ensure vehicles are fully operational when needed Forklift maintenance – ensure service and maintenance appointments are scheduled and ensure there is always an adequate fuel supply available Yard maintenance – grounds next door and surrounding the main building Ensure proper security procedures are followed each day to close warehouse and security gate is locked at the end of the day Driving – Deliveries & Pickups: Work directly with Project Coordinator/Assistant Project Manager on weekly pickups and deliveries Daily overview of the GSF schedule to ensure an overall understanding of all projects in progress Track direct-to-shop deliveries and when job materials have left the warehouse (via you or another employee) Keep Warehouse Materials Board up to date Minimum Qualifications / Requirements High School diploma/GED or greater Industrial training, certifications, or other expertise in the construction field are a plus Experience working in a construction firm or related industry – preferred Must be able to lift, lower, and slide boxes and other materials up to 75 pounds Experience multi-tasking and prioritizing competing requests Ability to work as a member of a team but also independently Ability to problem solve and think in a proactive critical manner Demonstrated ability to switch gears quickly, focus on key issues and make decisions under pressure of time constraints and/or competing deadlines Unquestionable integrity, positive attitude Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally Valid Driver’s license with fully insurable record Forklift certification preferred – can be trained on the job Reliable transportation to and from jobsites Summary: Located south of downtown Seattle; SODO/Georgetown neighborhood Compensation depends on experience Schedule is typically, Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm. Flexibility is required to ensure adequate staffing during our slower and busy seasons. Summer months tend to be the busiest.
