For those of us who lived through the Clinton impeachment, I can assure you there were NO similarities. • Clinton's impeachment was bipartisan both to impeach, and to acquit. • After three (R) congressional hearings found no evidence of wrongdoing, the Republicans then hired Kenny Starr to investigate the Clinton's financial dealings re: Whitewater Development Corp. • He investigated five years, found absolutely no wrongdoing. Unlike Trump, the Clintons were deposed and provided public, televised testimony under oath. • After spending five million of OUR dollars (an enormous sum at the time) and finding zero evidence, ole Kenny made a deal with the devil (Linda Tripp) who happily threw her best friend's (Monica Lewinsky) confidence under the bus as she lusted for her 15 minutes of shame. • In what can be described as a TRUE witch hunt, Starr pursued an adult, consensual blow job to destroy his pretenemy. In proceedings that would never be allowed in criminal court due to its gross irrelevance, on camera, he blind sides Clinton with a question so out of line, he (Starr) should have been sanctioned. The rest history has already decided was a sad blemish on America's character.
