High Rise Maintenance Technician/Handyman Honolulu Senior Community is seeking a full time maintenance technician. This position is involved in the renovation of vacant units, daily repair of issues in resident units, minor repair and upkeep throughout the property. This individual must demonstrate excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and problem solving skills. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: • Skilled use of hand and power tools • Electrical knowledge to include: installation of ceilings fans, GFCI outlets, wiring of stove power cord • Plumbing knowledge to include: installation of bathroom fixtures, cartridges, toilets, garbage disposals and snaking of drains • Knowledge in laying vinyl flooring, underlayment and vinyl cove base • Able to paint to include: repairing drywall- hang drywall, tape, mud, sand, texture, prime and paint JOB REQUIREMENTS: • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum 3 years of related work experience • Willingness to perform routine manual work • Needs to be physically capable to stand and walk for long periods • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and great time management • Complete Work orders in resident units in a timely professional manner WORK HOURS/BENEFITS: Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday. 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (flexible as approved by GM) Vacation after 1-year of service Holiday Pay after 90-day probationary period INTERESTED APPLICANTS MUST APPLY WITH A RESUME
