We are a working band seeking a vocalist/cantante to share frontperson duties with our current singer. The gig is: -- singing in English and Spanish -- being able to sing soneos and sing soul and sing in harmony -- and having great stage presence. We perform sometimes 3X in a month, sometimes once in 3 months, around the NYC area. We rehearse about 1x per gig, in Brooklyn. The pay varies a lot, as we do club gigs and private parties and everything in between. We are working on material for a new record and seeking an additional singer who wants to be a part of it and a real part of the band. We will consider applicants who are female, male, or nonbinary. We are lovely people; kindness is a condition for being in the group. We are solid communicators who answer message, show up on time, etc. We are strictly anti-harassment in all forms. We would be delighted to talk more with applicants, answer questions, etc. If interested, please send links of your singing in Spanish (preferably, but not necessarily, in an Afro-Caribbean style) AND in English, and a few words about your relevant performing experience.
