Lorraine Chambers, a Cornell graduate, and her husband, J. Henry, a Yale graduate, were instrumental in the region with their firm of Chambers & Chambers. After Mr. Chambers’ passing, local architects Elizabeth Corbin Murphy and Lauren Burge partnered with Lorraine Chambers becoming Chambers, Murphy & Burge. Upon Mrs. Chambers' encouragement, Elizabeth Corbin Murphy became the second female AIA Fellow in the state of Ohio. As a Principal of the Perspectus Historic Architecture Studio, Elizabeth is dedicated to preservation and restoration technology and design.
