Help needed setting up an extender router

I’m looking for someone to help set up a wireless router as an extender. I was able to install my new router but understand that I can use an old router as an extender. I’m challenged with technological material and my computer friend that used to help me moved away. I have some limited funds to offer for your assistance. The location is easy to find, close to the Prairie Food Courts in Coeur d'Alene.
