Seeking drummer and rhythm guitarist

Meets

San Francisco CA

Description

We are two Gen-X moms (lead guitar, bass) looking for cool fun bandmates. We are experienced musicians, zero-drama, expect the same, and are looking for a drummer and rhythm guitarist who know how to: Play, communicate, show up, listen, give and take, and have fun. Our ideal bandmates play for the song but also can be loose, and follow and lead dynamics.  Also maybe you have a sense of humor. We already have a solid lead guitarist who is not the best rhythm player, so we really need a superstar rhythm player who likes to play rhythm. We are looking for a drummer who can keep time and play with a click when recording. If you sing vox that's a plus. Please no egos or dreams of world domination or major label interest. We are hoping to play some local shows, maybe some recording.  We practice on Tuesday nights weekly. We both have lives and careers but generally music is a high priority for us. Looking for people who are confident in their playing and could envision getting enough material together to play a show after a couple months. Lead guitar - plays atmospheric tones and textures, dreamy and jangly, think BJM or Luna lead lines.  Also sings but prefers backup vox. Bassist is also a drummer who will mostly will play bass in this thing. She is happy to play with other drummers who sometimes want to swap instruments. Her style is melodic a la Naomi Yang of Galaxie 500 or Doug McCombs or Paul McCartney for that matter. Some bands we like are: Stereolab, Galaxie 500, Luna, Talking Heads, Allah-Las, La Dusseldof/Neu!, Brian Eno, Modern Lovers We've been writing and recording some ideas for the last couple of months: https://soundcloud.com/the_true_up Also here is the bassist's solo material as well: https://soundcloud.com/bacon-tears-up-business   Please be vaxxed and generally covid-safe, queer friendly.
