The Friends of the Washington County Public Library will sponsor a celebration of the publication of Barbara Kingsolver’s new book, “Demon Copperhead.” The event will be held on Thursday, November 17, at 7:30 pm in the Ballroom of the Martha Washington Inn in Abingdon. At the event Kingsolver will talk about her new novel and answer questions from the audience. There will also be book sales. Tickets to the celebration will be $25 and can be purchased on a link at the website of the Washington County Public Library beginning October 1. Students froml high schools, colleges, and universities will be admitted free of charge with a valid student ID.
