This symposium hopes to suggest a new vision for the arts in Charlotte, and by centering global south perspectives, it foregrounds the centrality of diverse perspectives, also represented in the array of speakers from educational, corporate, public, and artistic sectors. A reception follows the program. Participants: Priya Sircar, Charlotte Arts and Culture Officer Dimple Ajmera, Charlotte City Council Manoj Kesavan, Founder-Director Boom Festival Natasha Brinegar, Vice President, Food Lion Kaustavi Sarkar, Assistant Professor of Dance, UNC Charlotte CarlosAlexis Cruz, Director of the MFA in Community-Centered Practice and Founder of Nouveau Sud Project This event is free, but registration is required.
