Description

***Pensacola Area Business Professionals*** We’re back…and more “Powerful” than ever! Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast (PWGC) is back with a brand-new, redesigned in-person meeting, and this is your invitation to join us. Please note: Attendance is limited and you must register to attend. Each monthly meeting will center around a main theme important to women in business. We will have education, inspiration, celebration and accountability to give you the tools you need to be successful as well as a segment of the meeting in which you can get to know a few other Powerful women to add to your network. Our monthly in-person meetings are held in the Community Room at Gulf Coast Kid's House. To help preserve the delicate operations at GCKH, please DO NOT enter at the front door. Instead, after parking, please head to the west-side of the building (to the right if you are facing the front door) and enter our meeting space via the side door that comes directly into the community room. Watch for our PWGC yard signs in the grasses by the door to the community room. Attendance is limited to only 35. The meeting fee is: $10 for non-members/guests, $5 for PWGC members, and $0 for PWGC Spark Your Power participants. YOU MUST REGISTER AND SECURE A TICKET TO ATTEND. The meeting portion is from 8:30 to 9:30 am, however, you may come a half-hour early or stay a half-hour late to network with other attendees. Agenda for Monthly Meetings: 8:00 - 8:30 AM - OPTIONAL Networking and Fun Icebreaker while we set up and guests arrive 8:30 - 9:30 AM - Celebration, education, and accountability meeting 9:30 - 10:00 AM - OPTIONAL Networking and help pack up after the meeting Thank you to Dr Sam Graber (PWGC member and lead volunteer for this event) and our board members and volunteers for coordinating and executing this event! We hope to see you soon! NOTE: There are no refunds for these events. If you register and can no longer attend, you can transfer your registration to another month by emailing [email protected] at least THE DAY BEFORE the event. Please be mindful of current conditions regarding COVID. We will have hand sanitizer available and encourage you to follow current CDC guidelines so we can protect our community. By purchasing or otherwise accepting a ticket to this event, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 (coronavirus) exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the Event, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 (coronavirus), and agree not to hold Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast or our event venue for any illness or injury in connection with your or your guests’ attendance at our event. This meeting was purposefully designed for: 1. Collaboration over competition with a quality community that works for you and with you, 2. Wisdom gained when women in business speak out with courage and tell our authentic stories, 3. Generosity of deep relationships, 4. And the most unique community of people supporting women in business. Men are always welcome at our table for it is men and women together in community who are the true changemakers our world needs today. Collaboration starts with connection. Connection happens best when face-to-face. Women are stronger together. And our strength is derived from our collective wisdom and expressed through our voice. A voice that’s amplified when women join together in community, arms linked with those who support women in business. PWGC is known for 50+ people at their past networking meetings, however, our intention with our new Rethink meetings is to cultivate a smaller group of like-minded business professionals who are looking for and willing to do the same things: 1. Consistent attendance - deep relationships are built over time. We are looking for attendees who can commit to attending these meetings every month. 2. Willing to share your story - the good and the bad. We are looking for attendees who can be brave and courageously share their experiences in order to inspire others. 3. Goal getters - professional women (or men who support women in business) who are growing businesses and want to be surrounded by others doing the same. 4. Dedicated supporters - our strength is derived from our collective wisdom and expressed through our voice. A voice that’s amplified when we join together in community. We are looking for attendees who will support our community and have each other’s backs. Rethink. What’s different from past PWGC in-person meetings? 1. The primary purpose of this meeting is NOT networking. The primary purpose is for women in business to build deep, meaningful relationships that are personal and professional. For that reason, we are cultivating a smaller attendance than our past 50+ monthly attendance with these meetings. 2. The content and meeting format has been carefully redesigned. These meetings will now include moments for celebration and honest sharing as well as each attendee will be asked to share a business goal to be accountable for by the next meeting. 3. More interactive and less meeting. We’ve learned women thrive when inspired by others, so we’ve added more peer-inspiration and less “speaking at you.”
