Live Aquarium Plants and Purple Mystery Snails

Purple mystery snails make great fresh water pets, are fun to watch, and can help reduce algae. Please make sure your tank has a lid and no aggressive fish who will eat them or their antennas. They do not breed out of control, are pretty, and max out at chicken egg size so they do well in most aquariums and fish tanks. $5 for two pea to dime sized mystery snails $5 each for bigger than nickel sized snails, ask for availability I've been growing a bunch of different floating aquarium plants. Salvinia minima (aka water spangles) and duckweed grow quickly and are very beginner friendly. Dwarf water lettuce is beautiful and not hard to grow. These floating plants do best with very low surface agitation, like with a sponge filter, but many struggle to survive with a hang on back filter unless you section off part of the surface for the plants. I also have temple plant (aka hygrophilia corymbosa), pogostemanis, and anacharis. These are all easy, beginner friendly, low tech plants that can be grown using standard aquarium lights and don't need fertilizer or CO2. They also help reduce the nitrate levels in your fish tank.
