I am making this post for my 70year old dad. He is in between housing and is not super mobile. He already has a dog and another cat who are very bonded to each other. We are trying to find a new home for his other cat Lucy so she can receive the care and attention she deserves. Lucy is around 10 years old. She does not have any health issues we are aware of. She is a little timid but very affectionate when she feels safe and comfortable. She would be best by herself - not living with other pets. She does okay with other cats and dogs (she has lived with other cats and a dog for her whole life but she can be a brat sometimes (not hostile, just bratty). With humans she is very nice, however she doesn’t like to be picked up. She has a big fluffy thick coat that needs regular brushing. My dad has been giving her annual haircuts. She likes to sit on the bed with you and will head butt you hard if she wants pets. She has a very short attention span. She would probably do best in a quieter home, maybe one without kids or a lot of noises. Overall she’s a very sweet kitty. It’s hard to let her go but we know she could probably receive better care in a new home. I will be handling questions but I do not live in Maine- ultimately you will be meeting my dad for pickup/retrieval. We aren’t charging anything for an adoption fee we just want her to have a safe and loving home :,).
