Here's the math behind your door deal. You want 3 bands to invite 10 friends, and those 3 bands plus yours (4 bands total) split the remaining money from the door, after the first $300 is given to the bar. Let's say 50 people show up and the door is $10. That's $500 -300= $200 ÷4 ($50 per band). Let's say 50 people show up and for some reason people pay $20 each at the door. That's $175 per band. You need to negotiate better deals or work for clubs that actually pay you.
