Description
This is my "big bear," Tut. Tut is a purebred American Akita. Tut is almost 4 years old and around 95lbs. he's a healthy boy up to date on all shots, too! I, unfortunately, need to re-home him because he is too protective of the house, and does not get along with other dogs well. he will listen to "leave it" and is good with commands (and very smart) but he will absolutely go after dogs in close proximity. Tut will need a yard with wide open space and not-so-nearby neighbors or a fenced-in yard. he loves to go on walks and hiking, and car rides are one of his favorite activities! Tut is incredibly well house trained. because he isn't food motivated, even though his head reaches the kitchen table and counter in my home, we've never had a problem with him in the house destroying anything, trying to get food off the table, nothing. Tut needs re-homed due to his protective nature of the household. he will try to bite (non-family) members if they're not accompanied by someone Tut trusts.
I also want to make clear that Tut feels his job is to protect the house. He has never been aggressive towards people, but he will pick a spot (currently it's near my front door) and people cannot go into that spot while they are alone in the house.
Asking $100 for rehoming fee. included is Tut's toys, his bed, food bowls, harness/leash/etc.
