Immediate Opening for weekend cosplay handler. To assist with video/photos for content creation and cosplay handling ++++++++++++++========++++++++++++++ Cosplay Handler Needed for events at Baltimore Comic Con, Baltimore, MD at the Convention Center!!! The Council of Nerds hath decreed the commencement of celebratory activity!! (female handler preferred -sorry fellas, but they take better photos) Cosplay handlers are similar to production assistants and help keep the cosplayers alive, like tamagotchis. Experience preferred but not required :). Will train. Must be available all three days--Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, October 28th-30th. Friday and Sun will start at 9:30am. Sat will start at 8am. Cosplay handler duties include helping with the non-professional photos, carrying the props and merch bags, distributing contact cards, getting QR codes scanned, assisting with armor for more complex costumes, capturing behind-the-scenes pics, and keeping an eye out for obstacles that the cosplayer may not be able to see due to the costume (high curbs, steps) etc. I cover ticket costs and food for the day. Communication is key and important for coordination. Reliability and punctuality are must-haves. Please include a headshot photo and a BRIEF description of your experience or familiarity with the genres. Rates are negotiable based on experience, usually a flat rate of $350 for assisting all three days. This isn't a hard gig, but you do need to be reliable and at least somewhat familiar with comics and anime. Cosplay handler not required to cosplay. Capturing content most important: quick clips and photos (equipment supplied). Zoom or MSTeams call will be conducted for final selections. *Note I will also select one backup/alternate.
