If you like to work hard in the great outdoors, this is the perfect job for you! You will be responsible for working with the steel objects during the galvanization process. There is heavy lifting involved and the work is outside, in all kinds of weather. We are a Fair Chance Employer, and we would love to hear from you! Salary: Starting at $23/hour $1,000 Sign-on Bonus (Conditions apply) Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Responsibilities: • Un-rack galvanized materials • Count, mark, and tag parts with customers name and job numbers • Clean galvanized products by removing sharp edges and excess zinc using hand files, sanders, wire brushes, etc. • Identify voids in galvanized coatings and repair using hot sticks, brush on paint, aerosol paints, liquid zinc, torches, etc. • Lift parts manually or with forklifts • Stack parts using pallets, dunnage, shrink wrap and banding materials Requirements: Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials up to 75 pounds. Work Environment: Must be able to work in a wide range of weather conditions in a manufacturing environment for long shift periods. Outdoor work environment with exposure to elements. Work Hours: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday thru Friday, flexible to work overtime and some weekends when needed.
