We are an established metal fabrication shop that specializes in industrial, structural, and custom fabrication. This position has plenty of growth opportunity, and opportunity to learn new skills of the trade. The shop is a fast pace work environment always striving to complete our projects on time with precise detail. We are looking for a shop assistant / material handler that is excited to learn new skills and be part of a talented team. Task examples: Assembly completed weldments Wrap / Stack / Palletize weldments Build crating for completed weldments Load / unload trucks for delivery Inventory / organize materials inbound and outbound Assist with paint preparation ETC Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be organized and efficient. Show up to work on time every day to perform tasks at hand. Be honest, trustworthy, manage time well, and have a good attitude. Demonstrate an attention to detail and a pride in work completed. General skills & responsibilities needed: Clean parts prior to fabrication Operate forklift and stage material based on job schedules Perform material handling tasks, such as loading / unloading trucks, organizing yard Assist pre-fabrication with material staging and part finishing Post-fabrication Assistance (experience is a plus) Operating hand tools (grinder, drill, impact gun, etc.) Paint preparation Post-fabrication assembly of mechanical connections / hardware Maintain equipment, tools, and workspaces in clean and good working order Benefits: 401(k) and matching Health insurance Dental offered Generous PTO Opportunities for overtime Company BBQ, Raffle, and other events If you feel you are the right fit for our company, please apply and provide a reason why you think you’d be a good fit.
