While on the campaign trail, Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman claims he was “very successful” in reducing crime when he was mayor of Braddock, PA. But that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, according to publicly available data, crime SKYROCKETED in Braddock while Fetterman was mayor. And, in 2019, the first year in over a decade that Fetterman was not mayor, Braddock’s crime rate dropped by 61 percent. As reported by Breitbart, during Fetterman’s time as mayor (2006 – 2018), he oversaw crime surges as well as a declining population despite repeatedly promising to attract new residents and revitalize the area. Data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) shows violent crime, specifically, began spiking between 2013 and 2018. In 2017, violent crime peaked as the number of reports to local police quadrupled compared to 2006. Similarly, robberies in the area surged in 2017 along with property crimes, burglaries, larceny-theft, and motorcycle vehicle theft. All property crimes saw a surge from 2017 through 2019. Even his mother or father aren't going to vote for this man. They have changed their registration to Republican for the 2022 Election. We have enough violent Crime throughout the United States, especially in Democratic-controlled Cities and states and Fetterman wants to let at least 1/3 of the prison population out. Come on people. Where is your common sense here? What if your mate or child is murdered? Then how would you feel? If you vote for this man, may you rot in hell.
