Description
Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing on-site facility services and day-to-day maintenance for Warehouse grounds. Major job responsibilities include maintaining safe and working facilities for employees, and visitors, repairing and fixing building and furniture-related issues, and coordinating with external vendors appointments for repairs when needed.
• Documenting and tracking equipment repairs
• Respond to facilities requests in a timely manner, documenting requests and process
• Proactively identify facilities maintenance needs
• Ensure custodial needs are met by, cleaning, sweeping Warehouse floor, bathrooms and break areas
• Assembly of new furniture, work stations, carts
• Coordinating repairs with vendors when needed
• Janitorial responsibilities, clean bathrooms, breakrooms, sweep warehouse floor, remove cardboard from warehouse floor
Fork Lift Maintenance
1. Water in batteries
2. Track usage/hours of clamps
Pallet Inventory & Maintenance
• Dispose of broken pallets
• Moving Pallets for daily use from yard to Warehouse
• Alerting purchasing need when inventory gets low
Qualifications
• Have the ability to respond to any facility-related matters and prioritize based on urgency
• Willing and able to assume additional tasks as directed by the Senior Management
• Skills and knowledge to handle facility maintenance related issues including,
• Assembly of New furniture items, Tables, workstations, carts, etc.…
• Work cooperatively and effectively with faculty and staff, without direct supervision on some assigned projects
• Able to bend, squat, kneel, and ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Good Attendance
Education:
A high school diploma is required
Shift is Monday- Friday 8am to 4:30pm
• Mandatory Overtime may be required
• Either coming in 2 hours early or leaving 2 hours late, depending on needs of warehouse.
• If Saturday’s are required you will also be notified on the shifts needs.
