Job Description Full-time positions open for ship tank cleaning personnel. Most tanks to be cleaned contain various fuels, oils, or oily water, but some contain sewage, gray (sink/shower) water, or food waste. Small, local company. Laid back but safety-oriented team. Shifts start at 7:00 a.m. Usually 48-56 hours per week. All uniforms, PPE, tools, and equipment provided. No travel. No layoffs or hour cutting. Overtime required as necessary. Pay/Benefits $18/hour starting, negotiable per experience and capabilities, raises based on performance and work ethic Direct deposit, optional Health insurance, gold-tier PPO health plan, 75-100% premium paid Standard dental insurance, 100% paid Life insurance, $15k coverage level, 100% paid Annual bonus Paid time off, holiday/sick + vacation after one year Requirements Eligible to work in U.S., I.D. and employment eligibility document(s) required (e.g. U.S. passport or driver's license and social security card) Able/willing to work overtime, including weekends, as necessary Able/willing to lift 50 pounds Able/willing to work in extremely small/tight or large/open spaces Able/willing to work in spaces that are not temperature controlled No facial hair in area of respirator seal (i.e. clean shaven best - sole patch, mustache, or shorter goatee usually okay) Screening/testing -- Applicants and personnel may be subject to background checks, random drug/alcohol testing, and other medical screening/testing (e.g. pulmonary (lung) fitness). No prior training or education necessary. Experience a plus in confined space safety/entry, marine/industrial tank cleaning, pressure washing, HAZWOPER, oil spill response, atmospheric testing, equipment/vehicle maintenance or mechanic work, powered industrial truck (PIT/forklift) safety/operation, and heat/cold stress.
