Join us as we celebrate our dear Friend, and esteemed colleague, Dan Magras’s 60th birthday with an evening filled with the rarest, most sought after cigars, amazing food and spirits. In the early 90’s Carlos ”Carlito” Fuente Jr. planted 37 acres of Cuban seeds in the Dominican Republic to grow quality Dominican wrapper, in an attempt to make a 100% Dominican cigar, a feet which colleagues and peers in the industry claimed was impossible. Little did he know, that the cigar which he worked so hard and tirelessly to create, would revolutionize the premium cigar industry and turn it on it’s head - - The Fuente Fuente Opus X; and it would become arguably one of the most sought after cigars in the world. In 2001, the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation (CFCF) began, when long time industry business partners, the Fuente and Newman families dreamt of improving peoples lives in the Bonao region of the Dominican Republic. What began as a plan to add a win onto an existing school has grown into the 23-acre Cigar Family Complex. The Complex includes a primary and secondary school, a health center, an organic farming program as well as a sports and recreation facility. Through the Cigar Family complex, children and families are being provided with education, resources and tolls they need to help empower themselves to created opportunities for their future. With your help and attendance of this event, Tobacco Leaf will make a $5,000 charitable contribution to the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation. On this Rare Occurence, Thursday, October 27th, we celebrate one of the most iconic cigars available in the market today, nearly 30 years later!
