This family friendly event will have activities, performances, and local vendors for the whole family! Located at Sudwerk Brewing Co. in Davis, CA. Tsukimi literally translates to “moon viewing” or “looking at the moon.” The tsukimi tradition of holding parties to view the moon dates back to the Heian period of Japan or about 794 to 1185 A.D. It was traditionally a way of expressing gratitude for a good harvest and aligns with the full autumn moon, typically taking place in September.
