This two hour workshop, presented by Patricia Harris and Jennifer Witteborg, includes a brief overview of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Individualized Education Program (IEP), and gives tips for Deaf people, their family members and friends on how to advocate for self or family members. This event does have a focus on deafness but applies to all individuals who access accommodations and services through ADA and IEP. This is a family friendly event, but we ask that you please register each member of your family so we have ample seating and handouts. ASL/English interpreters will be provided.
