The Annual Candlelight Tour at the Historic General Philip Schuyler House in Schuylerville, NY will be held on Wednesday, October 12th from 6pm to 9pm, with the final tours starting at 8:30pm.
Old Saratoga Historical Association hosts the event and their members join park staff and volunteers to guide visitors on short tours throughout the evening through the candle-lit atmosphere of General Schuyler's 1777 country house.
The event is FREE but reservations are REQUIRED.
Please reserve a ticket for each member of your party in the available time slot. To prevent parking congestion and prolonged wait times, please do not arrive more than 30 minutes prior to your reserved time slot. For example: Alexander Hamilton reserved 4 tickets for the 7:15pm tour, his group should plan to arrive NO EARLIER than 6:45pm.
The Old Saratoga Historical Association hosts the Annual Candle Light Tour and the Annual 18th Century Day in August to increase awareness and knowledge of the Schuyler Family, the House, and our region's colonial history. Your generous donations will be greatly appreciated and allow us to continue to these events.
The Schuyler House is located just south of Schuylerville on Route 4.
As the autumn evenings can be chilly or wet, please dress for the weather. It is also recommended that visitors bring a flashlight for the walk back to their cars.
